Long Live

Everyone is different but all of us are God's children. We were all born and given a chance to live a life that's temporary. However not everyone was given the chance to fulfill and have their rights as people in their lives.

"Malala Yousafzai"

It was a name of a simple woman. She is a Pakistani but is now currently staying in United Kingdom. She was born on 12th of July, 1997 in Mangora, Pakistan. She was simple, beautiful and has a kind heart. She is one of the winners of the Novel Peace Award of the year 2014.

If I was given a chance to meet and interview her, I would giddily take that opportunity. And things would have went like this:

Princess: Good day to you, Miss Malala.

Malala: Good day to you too.

Princess: What motivated you to participate in the Novel Peace Award competition?

Malala: My motivations were the struggles and suppression of the children's rights for education so I decided to join and If i win, I would give half of the prize for the children.

Princess: And you won, so you would give half of the prize to the children so they could have the chance to study? And is the reason for your participation in the Novel Peace Award competition the struggles and hardships of the children's rights for education?

Malala: Yes and also yes. Because all of us deserve to have the right to be educated and to learn.

Princess: That's right. What if you didn't got the chance to be able to participate in the Novel Peace Award competition? What would you have done?

Malala: If i didn't got the chance to participate in the Novel Peace Award competition, I would have been their teacher and teach them all the things that they need to know and learn.

Princess: That's so touching. Thank you so much for lending some of your time for this interview. Continue on the path that you chose, Miss Malala.

Malala: It's alright and thank you, too. I will and I won't give up.

--End--

It was a simple message but it was full of sincerity and love given by Malala Yousafzai to the children who didn't got the chance to study, learn and be educated.

Little Things

Each and every one is different. In fact, there's nothing wrong with being different. Being different because of your appearance, your skin color, your illness, your personality, your talent, and many more doesn't make you out-of-place. It's what makes us unique and special.

An example is a special person (SPED). Being a 'special person' doesn't mean you're different and far from the average people. But actually, being a special person is just the same as being an average person, yes, they tend to experience some difficulties but they are a person too, they have minds, hearts, feelings and most of all, rights. It doesn't mean that if they are special, they can't and shouldn't be able to study and be educated like every other people. Being special is not a hindrance to living life as an average person, instead, it's a blessing because you're you, being different and all. They tend to have flaws but those are the things that makes them who they really are.It makes them unique and special, just the way they are.

Now Darlin', don't you ever feel like you're nobody. You never were because you are unique. You are special.

You're a diamond, dear, they can't break you.

Lost and Found

The clock strike 8 AM as the youth of high school-ers made their way up and inside the bus. A pale-skinned boy stood up in the crowd. He wasn't any of the popular jocks by any way, he was an average good-looking skinny guy. His name was Park. He is Half-Korean. He had black hair that had bangs which covered his forehead, he also have those two adorable sparkly eyes that were really small like a slit, he also has a strong nose and kissable lips, oh and he was really good-looking, dashing and has it been mentioned, he was oh so handsome. The bus ride came to a halt as it stopped on a waiting shed. On came a girl. Her name was Eleanor. She was not the typical pretty and skinny cheerleader type of girl. She was average. Red curly strangled locks, Few noticeable freckles, and Short.

Eleanor and Park wasn't the best of friends. They started off with a fight which resulted oppositely. They became 'friends' when they realized they had a lot in common with each other.            Time passed by, the two became lovers. They took a risk in love. Eleanor met Park's family and came across challenges which they faced and smashed down. They kissed along the dark narrow sideways, hang out at Park's house and enjoyed their moment with each other.

The time came when Eleanor had these writings in her books and beating up from her step-father. She was called different names. Slut, Whore, Bitch and more. All along, she thought it was Tina, the popular girl who stood up and bullied her but all this time, it was actually her step-father.

The time came when Eleanor snuck out to Park's house because her step-father was haunting her down. They took a car to get to where Eleanor's grandparents live. She was determined on her decision. They cherished their moments with each other on their road trip before she left.

Weeks had passed after Eleanor left, Park came across her old house. He took a few punches on her step-father who had just stepped out of the house and ran away.

Weeks had passed after Eleanor left, they never had communication with each other again, the road trip was their  last.

But months after, there was a familiar breeze from a card from Park's mailbox. It was a card saying "Welcome to Florida".

Park smiled, suddenly thinking of the only girl who taught him how to fall in love and fight for the ones you love.

Destined to be

http://slide.ly/view/7c609e382dd811f35f5a1c06a24808ff?utm_source=Gp_ORG_Share

I think continually of those who were truly great

God knew the day you were born, you were going to experience different challenges, some that would bring you down and some that would make you stronger and will make you who you really are. God also knew that you were going to meet different people, others who will become your friends, others who will just be there when they need you, others who will judge, mistreat and mislead you but others who will inspire you and will always be there for you through the ups and downs of life.

The day I grew up and gained thoughts of how the world go, I knew that I would experience hardships and failures. I knew that I'll learn a lot from all the people that I meet and hang around with. And I knew that some of those people were destined to be great the day they were born. Family, Friends-- Best Friends, Close Friends, True Friends and even Celebrities, these people were the ones who taught me every lesson and everything I needed to know about life. They were the ones who touched my heart, the ones who became a part of my life and me, and the ones who inspired me the most. They were the ones who scolded me and taught me how to be strong and face all the taunting dares and hideous challenges in life. They were the ones who guided me and pulled me up whenever I make my mistakes and failures. They were the ones who wiped my tears whenever I can't handle all the pain and emotions anymore. They were the ones who were along by my side, along with God.

I always think of these people-- these people who were truly great. I love them from the bottom of my heart and words can never express all my appreciation, gratitude, care and love towards them. I thank myself and my guts for taking and walking this path towards success.

I thank God for giving me this life, for giving me a chance to exist and live a life full of unexpected happenings that would turn out to be bittersweet memories.

And most of all, I thank these people for being the missing puzzles in my life whom I found along my way who would complete me.

The Dares of Life

Basically, in life you’ll experience and learn everything you need to know. You will grow up, feel different emotions, make and pick decisions, face every challenges and hindrances all through the ups and downs of life. In every moment of your life, you will be in a situation where you must make a decision that will affect your surroundings, your life and your future.

Challenges.

What are challenges? Why do we face them? Why do we have them?

Challenges are tests in life that you need to take and overcome so that you will improve and learn. We need to face and not run away from these challenges so that we can move on, achieve our goals and dreams and be a better person. We have these challenges so that we will learn in life, and become a better individual.

In our everyday life, we face different kinds of challenges, anytime and anywhere. Like the children that go to school, some of them are bullied which cause depression, insecurities and eventually, suicides and deaths. Every single day for them is like a living hell because they either get teased or hurt physically and emotionally which only breaks their heart. But that challenge can make them a lot stronger, braver, and better once they face it and overcome it. They would turn to be better persons in the future and will avoid those happenings again.

Every single one of us are different and unique in our own ways, we just have to be proud of everything that we possess and have instead of drowning in shame because of the hate that we get.

In life, we may trip down and fall hard but it’s what makes us stronger.
So stand up, wipe your tears, chin up and face every challenges and dares that may bombard you in every way that is possible and overcome all of it. You have your own strength and weaknesses but your weaknesses can also be your strength.

The Upshot of Life

                What is Life?

As per what Langston Hughes stated in his poem, ’Mother to Son’ that “Life ain’t been no crystal stair.” According to Wikipedia, Life is the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.” And there are other countless more definitions and meaning for life that is based on scientific basis, on experiences, on the understanding of the person and etc. But for us, what really is Life?

For me, Life is living. Life is like a chance that God gave us, so that we can learn lessons, learn from our mistakes and failures, experience what is living and how to live, so we can learn to not be ashamed of falling down but instead stand up, learn how to grow up, learn how to understand, learn how to feel and learn how to do your best every single time so you can achieve your goals, achieve success and happiness.

In life, we all do different things every day. We do good or bad things, depending on our decisions. And in those decisions, we can easily affect all that surrounds us, positively or negatively. And with those decisions and acts, those would be our trademarks, remembrance, souvenir and legacy to the people that became a part of our lives and the people that knows us.

For me, I want to be remembered for the deeds that I have done that would describe who I really am. I want to be remembered by people that I had been one of those chosen people who touched their hearts (of course not literally) and that I had become a part of their lives too. I also want to be remembered for the talents and skills that I possess that helped me achieve my goals and dreams in life. And someday, I want to be—scratch that, I will be a successful accountant in South Korea and continue living my dreams there. I also want to be remembered as the ‘Princess Ann E. Buendia’ that was who I really am, and not some plastic act of sweet nothings. And that are some of my goals in life.

Don't you fall now because life is not about how hard you fall, it's about how you stand up every time you fall, so stand up, wipe your tears, heal your wounds and climb up to success.

Life is beautiful, don't waste your time mourning, live life to the fullest.

Huwebes, Hulyo 24, 2014

Lion-Heart

My name is Princess Ann E. Buendia. I have a father, a mother and an older brother. But one thing’s for sure, I adore this one person and look up to her as an inspiration and one of my heroes. She was always there for me, through the ups and downs in life. She was the one who gave birth to me. She was also the one who guided me, along with my father and my brother, in my life, in all the challenges that I faced. She was also the one whom I’ve held on to whenever I always feel scared and whenever I lack of confidence. She was also the one, along with my father, who walked me up the stage whenever I was awarded a medal for a contest that I’ve won of. She was also the one who walked me up at my Graduation in Elementary. She was also the one who bore all of my whining, accusations, unwanted emotions and etc. And most of all, she is Joie Espinosa Buendia, my mother.

March 13, 1969. The day she was born. The day my mother was born. My mother lived in a simple way. They were poor back then, which forced her to work while she was still young and studying. She studied in Naic Elementary School for six years and graduated as a Valedictorian. Then, in High School, she studied at Western Colleges and graduated as the First Honourable Mention. She focused on studying for herself and her family which left her with no love life. In College, she also studied at Western Colleges, which became the way for her to meet her One and Only Love of her life. She met my father, on her first year of college. Their love story was beyond a laughing stock, it was amazing and at the same time, cliché. My mother was a volleyball player and that time, they had a game. My mother out-stood because she was just the one who wore long basketball-like shorts while her teammates and opponents wore short volleyball shorts. The outfit was the reason why my father noticed my mother and then, boom! Love sprung out.

June 18, 1994. I guess, it was the best day for my mother and father because it was the day that they became one and legally married. They had my older brother after almost a year, in April 14, 1995. He was a blessing to them, of course, especially when he grew up with them. He was the pride of my parents; he became Valedictorian and won lots of contests which led him up to the International Level. They were with him, guiding him along as he slowly grows up.

Not so long after, June 7, 2000. The day I was born. I guess I was a blessing to my mother even though I wasn’t as intelligent as my brother, not as responsible or as kind as the other kids. My mother continued to work, along with my father to give my brother and I a better life. My mother worked as a public teacher in Bucal National High School for twenty-three years. One day, there was a test for applying as a principal, she immediately took the chance and took the test.

After a year, my mother became a principal at a public elementary school named Bucana Elementary School. She worked hard to make the school a better place, and all her hard work paid off. But she was suddenly moved to another public elementary school for promotion. It was in Mabulo Elementary School, it was also a public elementary school not so far from our house, so my mother took the chance. She worked hard to make the school a better place and took very good care of everything and everyone—the school, the surroundings, the plants, her teachers, her students, her office and even the students’ parents and also the staffs that work there. Up until now, July 24, 2014, she still strives, continue working hard and showed no sign of giving up, giving us a better future and a good life.

I love everything about my mother, starting from her long brown hair, her sleepy eyes, her flat nose, her pouty red lips, up to her flaws which make her perfectly imperfect. She was my inspiration. She taught me the way of never giving up, the art of forgiving and the risk-taking. She was always there, guiding me and helping me make decisions whenever I couldn’t do anything myself. She also let me stood on my own, and not be dependent on her, on my father and on my brother whenever I have problems that she thinks and believes I can do on my own.

I was never really good at showing my feelings because I was really shy and I lack of confidence. But I’d tell you one thing, I love you, Mom, so much. Thank you for everything, for guiding me, for taking care of me, for loving me from the bottom of your heart, for putting up with my attitude and countless more.

Umma, Saranghaeyo.”

3 Years of Escapade

I

Fourth Day of June, tops
The day that marked the Freshmen year,
Nerve-wrecking but thrilling anticipations,
But actually,
It was full of unforgettable memories

II

Lanterns, Flowers, and other projects were made,
Making the school a whole Wonderland
for us all,
A fresh start for the whole school year,
But the memories would always be fresh and planted in our hearts

III

Next was the Cool Sophomore,
Yellow icons filled the surroundings,
Going through new lessons
And facing popping problems,
It was really stressing but,
It made us strong

IV

Issues here, Issues there, Issues everywhere,
We weren't exactly what one would call the best,
But we enjoy being ourselves,
And would just have the time of our lives

V

Finally, it's the Juniors' time,
Got that unusual feeling
Where everything took things slow,
Rad experiences have been spreading,
Awaiting us, is another interesting year

VII

From time to time, events were organized and done
That made school, fun and thrilling,
Here I am
In Cavite National High School,
On my Third Year of going through the Escapades of Life

Through the Halls of Ivy

"Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock"

The clock ticked as every second, minute, hour, day, week, and month pass by. Everything seemed to pass by too fast. Two months of vacation just passed by in the blink of an eye, and the numerous memories that were made would still be fresh in everyone's hearts and minds.

Day 2 of June, 2014.

It was the day where people were all devastated and discouraged by the fact that, that day means work work work; schooling five times a week; activities here, there and everywhere, and hell-like stress. That day seemed all too hectic with bundles of work to start with; strangers to encounter with; terror teachers, and even bosses.

"5:00"

It was a time where every student, parent, and people with jobs, had to wake up to. A not-so-average girl woke up to the silent yet violent shaking of her mother. She sat up and wandered till she almost tripped on the sofa that was on the floor, which made her wide awake with a rapid-beating heart. She eventually did all her rituals immediately like Road Runner within about thirty minutes, and went to school.

Silently wandering around like a lost and nervous little girl she was, fresh and familiar faces could be seen through her surroundings. Although she doesn't like school, she misses all the memories that were made with her best friends, friends, classmates, and teachers. All those happy, fun, sad, haggard, annoying experiences made her what she is right now; made her strong and continue to live life happily as she is.

She missed the greeny pasture-like field where she would play Patintero, Dodge ball, Running, Volleyball and other sports with her friends and classmates. She missed the numerous pavilions that were made as projects for each club in their school, she missed how they would always stay there with her classmates and chat through never-ending conversations in their every free time. She missed all the events that would occur in their school, where they would have the fun that they never even wanted to end. She missed all her friends, classmates, teachers and best friends that would always make her school year exciting and thrilling. She missed all the corny jokes that were made, all the pranks that they would do, all the kilig moments that they would have, and most of all, she missed being a Cavite National Science High School student who folds her sleeves breaking the rules; who tacks out her GSP uniform whenever she was uncomfortable; who enjoyed playing and having the time of her life in every event and moment that she would have; who would carelessly show and be herself in every second of her high school life.

She finally reached her room, there was the awkward and eerie silence that was too deafening to her. But eventually, as the time pass by, they all slowly warmed up like how they were the last school year and went to be their happy and noisy selves.

"Chitter, Chatter"

Chatting here, there and everywhere can be heard in the room every time that they would have their free time. They were still the same old giddy and happy-go-lucky students that they really were.

Some would actually think that going to school is like passing through a hall of ivy, thorns and etc. because of terror teachers, judging strangers, and stressful work that would make you want to give up, but in school, you'll actually learn how to be brave; how to make friends; and how to survive the hardships, and the ups and downs of life.

The first week of another thrilling school year of my life had just passed and ended. It was already all too thrilling and fun, what comes next? I'd often wonder. I know i will be brought down by problems about any possible things like work, love, friendship, mood, fakes but there would always still be the light that will guide you, challenge you and lead you to the right and one direction.

"Everything will be okay in the end, if it's not okay, then it's not the end."
